Chess is a fun social activity. Our school chess club meets during lunch breaks to play both chess and draughts. It is open to students from all year groups. In 2025 we took part in our first chess tournament and had a great time. We look forward to continuing to build our skills and more tournaments in the future.
Chess helps students to develop important skills for life such as problem-solving and critical thinking. It also helps improve memory and concentration. Chess is also considered to help students learn the art of winning and losing.
