On Tuesday 27th January, the Student Council organised a walkout to highlight the ongoing issues they face with the poor condition of the buildings and facilities in Curragh Community College. Students left classes and walked off the school campus to meet with media representatives. Parents and school personnel also attended to support the students as they used their voice to share their concerns. Some students gave an interview for KFM Radio and provided a statement to the Kildare Nationalist. Depsite the cold and wet weather, students showed their resilience and determination and advocated for their right to a safe and healthy school. They hope that the Department of Education will listen to their pleas for urgent action and release funding for a new school building.
