December has arrived and with it brings the theme of kindness to Curragh Community College. We will spend the month encouraging our school community to share kindness to themselves and each other. There are lots of activities planned across the month including: Daily random act of kindness, painting of decorations for the Curragh Family Resource Centre's gratitude tree, a Food Drive asking people to donate dry store foods and/or toiletries if they can and these will be distributed by the Curragh FRC, our TY's will send letters to nursing homes around Ireland using An Post's Carepack initiative, on December 9th we will wear Christmas Jumpers and collect donations for Pieta House and the doors of our school will take on a festive appearance as class groups compete to decorate their tutor classroom door. We will be posting pictures of our activities on our Twitter page and website so you can check these out. The Curragh Family resource Centre is hosting a fair on December 7th at 2.30pm also which will bring some festive cheer and support local people.
